Description
An Amnicator is a rapid, simple way to test for ruptured amniotic membranes. They are sterile, individually wrapped swabs with a pH-sensitive indicator tip. By means of a simple color change, one can detect the presence of amniotic fluid. With normal vaginal pH level at term somewhere between 4.5-6.0, the tip will turn yellow. When amniotic fluid is present and the pH level has risen, the tip will turn blue and show that the pH level is 6.5 or above. Tests can be stored at room temperature for an average of 2 years.
Available individually, 10-pack or a box of 50.
